AviClear is the only Health Canada and FDA-approved laser that treats mild to severe acne by targeting the source of the oily substance on your skin without the use of topical or oral acne medications. This is a unique laser technology because of the wavelength it uses, which selectively targets the oil glands (sebaceous glands) in the skin eliminating acne at the source without the need for prescription medications. Accutante is an oral prescription that clears up acne by reducing the skin’s oil production. Typically taken daily over a course of 6 months. There are a range of side effects including some that are severe. The AviClear laser targets the sebaceous glands to reduce/eliminate the source of acne.

Laser treatments are performed by our certified medical estheticians. Before the treatment, the targeted area will be prepped by cleansing, lots of hydration and once the treatment begins a slight snapping sensation. AviClear includes AviCool, a blue technology that allows patients skin to stay at their normal temperature and remain comfortable for the duration of the process.

Yes. AviClear is safe and effective on ALL skin types.

There is typically no downtime for AviClear. Possible that some may experience mild redness and swelling from 1 hour to 2 days. With AviClear, there are no prescriptions and no need for your old acne routine. Most of our patients look the same directly after treatment as when they came in and can confidently return to their day.

Acne flare-ups may occur but are temporary and should resolve with time, this is part of the purging process.

We recommend applying SPF 30+ sunblock daily throughout your treatment series

Most patients will see results including fewer outbreaks and overall clearer skin 3 – 6 months after their final AviClear treatment.

AviClear delivers lasting results in three 30 minute treatment sessions each spaced out at 4 week intervals. You should start seeing results around 3-4 weeks after your last acne treatment session. Results may continue to improve with time.
